International forum BIT&BIS’21 – one of the main events on the ICT market - was held on the 9th of September in Minsk. Open Technologies took on the role of the gold partner. Is it possible to prevent target attacks?

Traditional defense in the form of antiviruses is sufficient only for simple accidental hacker attacks. Target attacks, when hackers know the aim and try to override every level of security, need more serious defense measures. It is usually well-organized, elaborately planned attacks referred to concrete organizations or the whole economy sectors, made mostly by groups of hackers. Moreover, a concrete organization could be as a direct aim, as a middle element in more complex attack chain.
Global cyberattacks research and methods of their prevention

HPC Inc. issued the results of its global research Thread Insights Report for the first half of 2021, in which the company analyzed past attacks and used vulnerabilities in cybersecurity. Among the most noticeable was access selling to the hacked infrastructure for ransomware spreading, received through bank trojan Dridex. It became the main malware “family”, highlighted by HP Wolf Security.
