Dell Technologies and Open Technologies Showcased the Latest Dell EMC Power Store and Dell EMC PowerScale

17 August 2020 Dell Technologies and its titanium partner Open Technologies presented the latest Dell EMC storage systems in Russia. The renewal of the storage line is due to the growing volumes of data, as well as an increase in demand in the Russian market. The presentation was held in the format of a webinar organized by Open Technologies, which has extensive experience in the successful implementation and support of Dell EMC storage systems.
The webinar was attended by specialists from IT companies, partners and customers of Dell Technologies and Open Technologies. The launch of Dell EMC PowerStore and Dell EMC PowerScale storage systems on the Russian market fully meets the needs of the growing domestic storage market, its middle segment, the products of which are most in demand by Russian enterprises. Dell EMC PowerStore is the updated arrays that the company is positioning as solutions for the coming "era of data", - said Arthur Vartanyan, sales manager of Dell Technologies Data Center Division.

Dell EMC PowerStore arrays are unified data stores that provide users with consolidated block and file services. To solve problems with demanding workloads - the tasks of storing large amounts of unstructured data, archives, files, AI, analytics, IoT, digital media and healthcare, all solid-state storage systems Dell EMC PowerScale have been released, in turn, explained Svyatoslav Sukhov, head of Dell EMC Unstructured Data Solutions.
PowerScale storage systems are scalable systems that are capable of processing unstructured data in all fragments of the enterprise IT infrastructure: from the core to the network edges, as well as supporting cloud solutions. The updated storage systems are designed to handle a variety of workloads, including unpredictable ones. These arrays greatly simplify the search and analysis of data for users and software developers.

The system can perform up to 15.8 million IOPS per cluster, and the Dell EMC PowerScale F200 and F600 nodes in the all-flash Dell EMC Isilon series are five times faster than their predecessor. Built-in data compression and deduplication makes this platform six times more productive.
It should be noted that Dell EMC Isilon systems were updated in January 2020 and already provide support for containers, large files, larger drives, faster access to Azure cloud computing and cloud-based management. The new Dell EMC PowerScale storage family includes CloudIQ, Dell EMC's cloud-based storage health monitoring software.
Available for all Dell EMC storage platforms, this software helps you plan storage resources, predict storage capacity needs, and significantly improve storage efficiency.

“The new Dell EMC PowerStore storage systems are worthy successors of 3 successful lines of equipment of our partner, Dell Technologies corporation: storage systems XtremIO, Unity and Compellent,” said Pavel Anaschenko, Acting CTO of Open Technologies. –“ I am sure that the new systems will provide fundamentally new opportunities for our specialists in the development of modern solutions for our customers in the most voluminous midrange storage segment. And expansion of the Isilon line with PowerScale nodes will create unique platforms for companies that are focused on leading IT trends, working with large volumes of unstructured data under difficult-to-predict workloads. “
The arrival of demo storage systems, which will be introduced by Dell EMC and Open Technologies specialists, is expected in the near future. Testing of solutions based on new systems will be possible remotely.
The launch of Dell EMC PowerStore and Dell EMC PowerScale storage systems on the Russian market fully meets the needs of the growing domestic storage market, its middle segment, the products of which are most in demand by Russian enterprises.
