Billing system for Samara Energo launched. Open Technologies, Russian system integrator, and Samara Energo OJSC, announced about industrial launch of Power Sale and Customer Accounts Automated Control System (PSCA ACS)22 November 2012
November 22, 2012. Open Technologies, Russian system integrator, and Samara Energo, a major energy supplier in Mid Volga Region informed about commercial launch of Power Sale and Customer Accounts Automated Control System (PSCA ACS) based for SAP for Utilities software for domestic consumers.
The PSCA ACS project in Samara Energo started in 2011 and became a part of the program on client service and optimization of the system of payment for the consumed power.
During this time the specialists of Samara Energo OJSC and Open Technologies performed a great amount of work:
- Formalization of business processes and their expertise in SAP;
- Procurement of the necessary equipment;
- Deployment of software;
- Configuration of system, migration of data from Energo Office automated station;
- Key staff and end users trained;
- Industrial exploitation of system in pilot and replicated areas;
- Installation of end user technical support service.
The solution helped to centralize the information flows, optimize reporting service and cut operational expenses.
The solution has been successfully installed in all subdivisions of Samara Energo and accounts of over 500,000 residents of Samara Region are maintained in the system.
The PSCA ACS is being also configured for industrial consumers. Its commercial launch in pilot area was scheduled for 2013.
Samara Energo Power and Electrification Open Joint Stock Company is a major power provider in Mid Volga Region. It serves 79% of power demand in Samara Region. The main consumers of Samara Energo OJSC include the enterprises of chemical, petrochemical, refining, metallurgy, engineering industry, railroad and pipe transport, oil production and manufacturing business materials. The area of Samara Energo OJSC guaranteed supply encompasses all towns and administrative districts of Samara Region (10 towns, 27 districts). The company has 20 subdivisions and 12 central boiler houses.
